My name is Buck Schroeter and I am a leukemia survivor!
During my illness I was overwhelmed by the care I received and promised that when I got well I would find a way to give back what I had been given. My illness prevented me from shopping and giving Christmas presents to my family and friends. I knew other sick kids must be going through the same thing, so I created an opportunity for them to shop for free Christmas gifts for their families while in the hospital.
We collect presents year-round, then set up shop at Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin, Texas the 1st weekend in December each year and call it "Buck’s Barn".
Buck’s Barn is very much a miracle for sick children.
